Immediate position available for a Concrete Foreman located in the Milwaukee area to lead our growing concrete crews.

Job Function:

Concrete Foreman must be proficient at the Concrete III level and responsible for leading concrete crews in the field while assisting Concrete Superintendent with the flow and coordination of all concrete materials and accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Concrete Superintendent in production standards, run crews consisting of 3 or more people and perform toolbox talks pertaining to job specific items.
  2. Field leadership of all concrete crew members.
  3. Sort and stock, to the correct areas, post tension cables from drawings supplied by Concrete Superintendent.
  4. Correctly layout post tension rebar and place in the correct elevations as per plan.
  5. Perform concrete layout activities with staking, drylines, nails, ribbon and paint. Establish elevations from benchmarks in feet, inches and tenths scale in order to set heights at the top of footings, walls, columns, slabs, curbs, etc.
  6. Wall Track: Hand-set and gang-form all wall systems; properly install wall, column, footings, and slab accessories (ie: brick ledge, rebar dowels, weld plates, elevator inserts, door bucks, window bucks, mechanical sleeving, etc.) Establish footing, wall, and column lines from pre-set grid points.
  7. Finish Track: Responsible for mix designs, added mixtures and accelerators as needed on the jobsite. Lead specialty concrete duties (stamping & pervious); run and efficiently operate riding trowelers to achieve desired slab finishes.
  8. Lead by example, understand and enforce SCC safety standards.
  9. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of concrete construction experience
  2. 3+ years of field leadership responsibilities
  3. Proven track of strong attendance
  4. Positive attitude
  5. Willingness to learn
